We believe a great campground is more than just a place to sleep. Throughout the season, we host events and themed weekends that bring our community together — from guided nature walks to poolside parties to community bonfires. There’s always a reason to come back, and always something to look forward to.

Every Friday, May 22 through September 4
Every Friday evening this summer, head to the Upper Pavilion for a sweet, cold treat and a chance to meet your campground neighbors for the week. A Ashland/Huntington West Campground tradition.
Themed Weekends
Throughout the Season
Our themed weekends are a hit with families and returning guests alike. Expect bonfires, crafts, cornhole toss competitions, special event breakfasts, and more. Every themed weekend has its own flavor — check the calendar and plan accordingly.
Site Decorating Contests
Halloween and July 4th Weekends
Show off your creativity. We hold site decorating contests during our Halloween and Independence Day weekends, with bragging rights for the best-decorated site on the grounds.

April 25
Herb Walk
Take a guided walk through our nature trails with a certified herbalist. A fun, educational experience for all ages — you’ll never look at a trail the same way again.
May 8–9
Care Camps Weekend
Camp with a purpose. This meaningful weekend raises funds to send kids with cancer to summer camp. Join us, participate in activities, and help make a difference.
May 22–25
Memorial Day Weekend
Celebrate the start of summer with a fun-filled, family-friendly weekend that brings our whole community together. We’ll fire up the bonfires, run the activities, and pause to honor and remember those who served.
May 30
Hello Summer Pool Party
The pool is open and summer is officially here. Join us for a day of games, activities, and great times for the whole family.
June 6
Luau
Drift off to a tropical getaway without leaving Kentucky. Hula dancing, hands-on crafts, and a Hawaiian BBQ spread. Leis provided — aloha spirit required.
